The Policy of the Business is to provide and maintain working conditions which are safe and without risk to health.
This Policy has been produced after a full assessment of the risks associated with the business.
It is our objective to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all of our employees and anyone else who may be affected by our work, so far as is reasonably practicable by:
Providing and maintaining safe equipment, materials, systems of work and safe workplaces.
Ensuring that the working environment is safe and without risk to health by, e.g. controlling the emission of noise, air and water pollutants and the discharge of toxic or obnoxious wastes.
Developing and implementing safe working practices and procedures in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
Providing adequate facilities & arrangements for employee’s welfare.
Developing, implementing and regularly reviewing Policies, Procedures and Standards to achieve safe working conditions which are, so far as is reasonably practicable, without risk to health and safety.
Regularly inspecting premises, equipment and systems of work and the general working environment and reviewing information, instruction, training and supervision for all levels of staff.
This Policy Statement will be communicated to all employees and the entire Policy, Management Arrangements and Procedures is available to all employees.
The Policy will be reviewed (at least Annually) and amended as required in the light of any changes in the premises, equipment and materials used, or if methods of working change.
All staff will ensure that they do not endanger any Customer or Visitor to the premises or the contracted customers working area by making sure that they do not permit any Customer or Visitor to enter any area or approach any machinery which may present risks to their health and safety.
Where necessary suitable notices must be posted warning of significant hazards and specifying that there must be no unauthorized entry whilst ensuring the prevention of re-routing persons into the path or area of further danger.
When working on Customer sites staff must ensure that they do not endanger Customer staff or other persons and where necessary should inform Customers of any risk that work activities may present.
Good housekeeping must be practiced at all times to prevent risks of slipping, tripping etc.
